Japanese Food Buffet

Hey peps, I had trouble loading photos and due to that reason I gave up and hit the power off button immediately. (After several attempts) Now finally Internet is gaining support and I can load up photos, therefore I can show you my gluttonous side. Been naughty and didn't follow a strict diet, which I am suppose to!!!!! I know it's mind over matters but I am a FOOD person, I enjoy eating and never want to miss the opportunity of good deals. When I found out about Japanese buffet in Jurong Point how can I not get my taste bud and tummy involve right? More over Jeff is so supportive when it comes to eating. So we went....

I was there on a Saturday to enjoy their dinner buffet, and later on Monday for their lunch buffet....

Well I didn't get to enjoy myself during the Saturday dinner buffet, firstly it was a family gathering with the in laws and their teenagers. Jeff and I brought Natalie and Rita along to meet their families. It was a long table arrangement and we were sitting at the furthest end so didn't get to talk to the rest. Secondly Natalie cried non stop once we reached, she hated the place as it was dark and noisy. Her cries became worrying spells for me when it didn't end after 30mins. Thirdly, Jeff's sister asked why we brought our maid along as the buffet cost $40 per pax, she said it in a disapproving manner and was worried that we didn't pay for our own share. How to enjoy my dinner? We left the restaurant after 40 minutes.... and we paid our own share including for our maid so as to shut her mouth up.

So Jeff and I went back on Monday afternoon to enjoy the buffet, just the way the 2 of us wanted! Too bad they only serve King crab during dinner! Please see the photos and fit in your own description, too tired to do that.

Kimono

This is the first time I see myself in a kimono, do I look alright? Had to wear this kimono due to work in Conrad Hotel over the weekend. I have been working for 3 consecutive weekends with lunch talks, Congresses and presentations in varies hospitals. Thanks for my accommodating and understanding husband, he didn't complain about my absence at all.

Day 6 in Tokyo

It was shopping, shopping and more shopping for day 6, Jeff said I should take this opportunity to get all those pretty stuff that I liked before I leave Japan with regrets. We got hooked taking the subway, anyway that was the only affordable transportation in Japan. Taking a cab there will burn a BIG hole in your wallet, Japan is not a cab/ taxi friendly country.




Jef was really proud that he was able to smoke in MAC Donalds. hahaha

Tokyo Day 5

Day 5, it was finally our free and easy day in Japan. Our hotel was very far away from Tokyo central and we had to find our way down town. It was a fantastic experience taking subway of Japan, and after studying the lines for a few minutes I got the hang of it and never once lost our way. That was my greatest achievement!! Did some ground work and Shibuya is a must go place in Tokyo. Shibuya is one of the twenty-three cuty wards of Tokyo, but often refers to the popular shopping and entertainment area around Shibuya Station. Most of the area's large department and fashion stroes belong to two competing corporations, Tokyo or Seibu.

The prominient landmark of Shibuya is the large intersection in front of the station (Hachiko Exit), which is heavily decorated by neon advertisements and giant video screens and gets crossed by amzaingly large crowds of pedestrains each time the traffic light turns green.

Meet Hachiko (the dog statue), according to a famous story, the dog waited for his master ever day in front of Shibuya Station, and continued to do so for years even after his master had passed away. It is one of Tokyo's most popular meeting point.

The nicest place to shop, 109 building!

After shopping at Shibuya, we took the subway to Harajuku, this place is very famous for Cos play costumes. On the other side of Harajuku, it was high end shopping, with all the branded boutiques like Chanel, YSL, Christian Dior... along the main road.

Walked pass Lacoste... no one inside wor... checked with some japanese they said this was not a very popular brand. Haha that explained why the boutique was so empty.
