Seeing her grow every day is amazing, seeing her struggle in my arms when she feels uncomfortable is fretful, seeing her smile when I sings to her is rewarding. I had the radio on, my confinement lady loves to listen to 97.2 FM and once in a while there are pop songs from Jay Chou and Natalie seems calm when she hears them. During my pregnancy I visited the Karaoke 3 times and listens to a lot of Mr Chou's songs. Maybe that's why she sense the familiarity.
She hates it when we wrapped both her arms tight and she refuses to give in until we release her. She is afraid of the cold, when ever we turn on the air condition, she shivers and sneezes. just an anon been reading your blog for a good while now. natalie looks so much like your husband. he must be so proud! i personally think you are doing a great job. having a baby is not easy. just to say also my maid has brought me up for more than 20 ++ years and she is still with our family even though i am now married etc. remember eventually you will require help from the maid. the key is to ensure there is good communication between you two. keep a good relationship with the maid, and it paids. in the future, she knows exactly how you want her to handle natalie. my brother was brought up completely by my maid and he is the living proof :). Some maids are scare of taking care of babies because they are so worry their employer (you), will criticise them and get scolded. If she is wrong (which Im sure she will make mistakes), then just gently remind her the way you prefer her to work/handle around natalie. Afterall, she is there to help. I hope it all goes well with you. Remember to take care of yourself too.
