Food for pregnant me

When home cook food is the problem, the only answer to opening my appetite is to try an error, Jeff suggest we go for some Italiano pizza and pasta for a change. I was up for the idea and went ahead with the plan. The mission was to get me to eat and let the food stay lock and key in my stomach.

Weekend was a terrible time to go to any major shopping centre, everywhere we go we were haunted by piling traffic, no parking lots and long queues. Despite all that, we still bump our way through the car crowds, bumper to bumper, making sure we enter the car park of Vivo City.

All that time wasted in the traffic jam and car park search was all worth it when we reached Modesto's. Many years back when I was still 19 or 20 yrs old, Modesto's was a popular discotheque located in Orchard Parade Hotel. I frequent that place almost every week until their announcement of closure. Later they move their business venture into F&B and since then I didn't step in anymore.

We walked pass the restaurant and saw that they uses conventional stove to toast their pizza, the strong aroma flow out of the restaurant entrance, that really entice us to pay for the food.

Free appetizer, either I was hungry or the bread really taste wonderful, dip in olive oil. 20 inch pizza with pork pharma ham and additional salami toppings, good choice if you are a meat lover.

Spaghetti with tomato sauce top with mushroom and pork bacon. Overall, the food in Modesto's did not disappoint us, really up to standard! UOB credit card holders get additional 10% discount.

My baobei darling hand made Japanese rice dumplings (Onegiri) for me! He has always been telling me that during his teenage days, he used to work in an authentic Japanese restaurant as an apprentice in the kitchen.

Look at the finished product, not bad eh! Wonder how it will taste like?
The fillings, German sausages... hehehe creative! I ate 2 of them!
