The restaurant at Jurong Hill offers Tepanyaki, Japanese and Indonesian cuisine. Although they were pretty much famous for their tepanyaki, Jef and I wasn't a Tepanyaki fan so we go for the Japanese cuisine instead.
While waiting for our food to arrive, we spotted a couple, not just any couple but an elderly man with a pretty well dressed mid twenties lady. At first I thought they were father and daughter relationship but once they opened their mouth we knew the elderly man was fathering her in another way.... Sugar daddy. He ordered lots of food, so much so that it was able to feed a table of 5. He even ordered fresh lobster and kept asking if that will be enough for her.
Wah... this Ah Pek really know how to pamper his Chinese speaking girlfriend. She was also seen carrying a Louis Vitton handbag. That made Jef wonder if that Ah Pek ever brought his wife to this restaurant, ordered lobster or purchase a branded bag for his lawful wife. Sad...
Anyways everyone has their own way of living so I shouldn't comment much.
Mine - Favourite Chawamushi, it was a must to order this side dish every time I go to a Japanese restaurant. Egg is good, gives you protein!
His - This is one dish that I will never agree in it's taste, Nato or in layman "smelly bean". There was a raw Quill egg and one was supposed to blend it with the nato...
His - This will be how the product looked like before eating.... Jef convinced me to take a bit, ewwwwww I cannot appreciate the foul smell and rotten taste.
His - We have always tried fried pork cutlet or chicken cutlet, but this was beef cutlet. Something different and it taste awesome too!
Mine - Tempura bento, but I didn't really like it as the tempura was not crispy and it looked terrible.... Didn't seem like how a tempura should look like.
After dinner we wanted to take a stroll unfortunately it was raining and the road was very slippery. Too bad, if not I will be able to show pictures of the suroundings, from Jurong hill, you can have a bird's eye view of Jurong island and the whole of Jurong estate.
